Being a Competitive Gymnast at CEGA

CEGA provides a high quality competitive gymnastics program with outstanding instruction in a positive environment. CEGA prides itself in providing highly-trained and nurturing coaching so competitive gymnasts may achieve their goals. Gymnasts from the Cleveland area compete throughout Ohio and beyond.

Preteam  - When your child needs more than what we provide in our recreational classes, we invite girls to participate in our Preteam Program.  Girls practice up to 2 hours a week to prepare for joining the team.

Level 2 – CEGA's “In-House” Program gives gymnasts their first taste at competitive gymnastics. Gymnasts learn entry level skills and beginning routines and compete in-house.  Level 2 Team practices up to 6 hours a week.

Level 3 – Gymnasts begin competitive gymnastics in the USA Gymnastics Program and compete against top level gymnasts in the region. Level 3 Team practices up to 12 hours a week.

Level 4 - Gymnasts continue to fine-tune basic skills, work out longer hours, and master compulsory routines. Level 4 Team practices up to 16 hours a week.

Optionals  - Once gymnasts master compulsory skills, they advance to the next level, optional competition. Gymnasts highlight their personal strengths and abilities in customized routines.   Optional Team practices between 16-20 hours a week.

XCEL - XCEL is an alternative USAG competitive program offering flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. The XCEL program allows varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience.  Xcel Team practices up to 12 hours a week.
